TechMarkit Retail Store Interior Design Rosebank
Dandy Lion Interior Experiences designed the TechMarkit retail store in Rosebank, Johannesburg, a technology retail concept that needed to stand out in one of the city’s most competitive shopping nodes. The brief called for a space that would feel cutting-edge and experiential, transforming the traditional electronics store into an interactive technology playground.
Our design takes cues from the tech industry itself: clean lines, minimal materials and a focus on the products as the hero elements. A monochromatic base palette of charcoal, white and brushed aluminium is punctuated by dynamic LED accent lighting that can shift colour to match campaigns, product launches or seasonal themes. Open product tables encourage hands-on interaction, while perimeter wall units create immersive brand zones for key technology partners.
The store layout prioritises discovery. An open entrance zone draws foot traffic with live product demonstrations, while deeper into the store, dedicated experience pods offer private consultations for premium products. Digital signage and interactive kiosks are integrated throughout, providing product information and wayfinding without cluttering the clean visual environment.
