On Air Retail Store Design Sandton City
Dandy Lion Interior Experiences created the interior concept for On Air, a trend-driven fashion retail store located in Sandton City, one of Africa’s premier shopping destinations. The brand required a space that could hold its own among international luxury neighbours while speaking directly to a young, style-conscious South African audience.
Our design language balances industrial edge with refined detailing. Polished concrete floors, blackened steel framework and exposed services create a raw, gallery-like shell, allowing seasonal merchandise to take centre stage. Warm timber accents, brass trim and soft ambient lighting prevent the space from feeling cold, ensuring the store feels as inviting as it is aspirational.
Flexibility was a key design driver. Modular display systems allow the visual merchandising team to reconfigure the store layout seasonally without structural changes. Statement window displays are designed as theatrical set pieces, refreshed monthly to maintain street-level impact in the high-traffic Sandton City mall environment.
